This blog is about my hobby for collecting fashion dolls as well as other minor collections I have such as scale model cars and Hello Kitty and anything else in between.

Another Barbie Basic
I was surprised to see the Barbie Basic dolls appearing on the doll shelves at TRU, Target and Kmart here in Australia. So many Barbie dolls - especially the collectibles - do not make it here in Australia, but when they do it's so nice to be able to actually see a doll in person. Often that can change your mind about whether you want that doll or not.
After seeing this doll I decided I could not resist. She has the ever popular Steffie face mold and what also appealed to me was not only a doll with a fringe (called bangs in America) but a brunette one at that. I don't why it is but it is so rare to find dolls with fringes unless you know how to re-root a doll or get someone to do it for you.
In this picture the doll is just wearing some mix and match pieces I put together.
