This blog is about my hobby for collecting fashion dolls as well as other minor collections I have such as scale model cars and Hello Kitty and anything else in between.

40's Hollywood Glamour
This is High Tide Vanessa by Integrity. Again I love the platinum hair and that whole old Hollywood glam look she has. Again she is one of my most favourite dolls and as you can by this pic the sun was shining bright the day I took this pic.
Giselle
This is Giselle from Integrity's Nu Face line. The Nu Face dolls have a much smaller bust than the regular Fashion Royalty dolls and slightly smaller waist. They are meant to represent young model probably from about 18 years of age. I love her platinum hair and I thought this outfit was perfect for her. She's like an Ice Queen but a nice Ice Queen. LOL
Most I Paid for a Doll
This is the 2008 Wu Convention exclusive doll Tatiana. When I first saw pics of this doll I totally fell in love with her. Her oh so pale skin, her colouring and she reminds me so much of Famke Janssen from the first James Bond movie that starred Pierce Brosnan. I knew I would never be able to get her as she was selling for at least 3 times the price paid for by people who were able to attend the convention but again, thanks to a great doll collector friend, who was able to attend the convention and buy the doll, I was able to buy her. This was the most I have so far ever paid for one doll and that was $300US but my friend Cathy was kind enough to let me pay for her in 2 instalments.
Every so often you will see a doll that just really speaks to you and Tatiana did and this was one instance where I was willing to pay such a high price for a doll.
Dancing Fire
I just LOVE the bright red hair on this doll - known as Dancing Fire. I had wanted her for so many years but when I did see her for sale it was either for a price that I thought was too much or I just did not have the $$ to buy her. But finally after many years (it sure does pay to be patient) I got her for a fantastic price from a friend. Again this is not the outfit she came in (I have a habit of re-dressing my dolls) and her hair was actually way longer than it is in these pics but it was so frizzy and dry it needed a trim. I actually transferred this doll to a Model Muse body as well and I also cut some of her hair as well as it made her head really loose.
This is the silkstone Chinoiserie (not sure of spelling). She is meant to be Asian but of course does not look authentic Asian but I love her colouring. The dress she is wearing is one I had coveted for a few years and finally got the chance to buy it from a good friend for a great price. The dress is from a Fashion Royalty gift-set and it is just stunning but BOY was it hell to get on the doll as it was a bit tight over the hips and the back is corseted and is tightened with a red ribbon. Needless to say I think this doll will be staying in this gown for a long time and is displayed in my doll cabinet.
This is a My Scene doll Delancey which I bought several years ago. The My Scene dolls seem to be no more and I used to have quite a few in my collection however, I have thinned the collection down to just a few of my favourites and this is one of my favourites. I call her Angelina as for some reason every time I look at her she reminds me of Angelina Jolie, which is odd because Angelina is a brunette and does not have blue eyes. I think she reminds me mostly of Angelina from one of my very favourite movies, Gone in 60 Seconds, where she did have blonde hair (though dread-locked in the movie).
